Doggy tutu/ monogram dishtowel

I am the type of person who needs to use my creative juices. Things hardly ever turn out like I plan but, I wanted to be able to document the things that worked and the things that didn't work so when I do actually make more than one of an item I can remember the mistakes (usually many!) that I made the first time and learn from them.

This weekend we had a b-day party to go to and my son wanted to get his friend a stuffed animal dog since she loves dogs. I thought it was cute, but it needed a little something more. So, I pulled out some tulle and rhinestones to make her a cute tutu and a blinged out doggy collar. The whole thing probably took about 20 mins (both the tutu and the bling) and they really turned a small gift into a really fun one. M liked her gift a lot!

Look at that face! My son picked this out and I could not say no. But, I think with the removable tutu, M will like it even better. No pics of the blinged out collar, but it was sure cute! And look at that tail!

I did not remember to take a picture of this sweet little brown L monogrammed towel until we were in the car going to meet my friend that it was for. To be honest, I had just whipped it up about 30 mins before we were supposed to be at the park, so when would I have found the time anyway? I made a few of these for my kids teachers for Christmas this year and I thought my friend would love it as a Thank You for keeping our fish for us for a while while we were travelling. She did! (Or she says she did!) I love them and I need to make one for myself. You know how it is though... Easy peasy project and great results for little time and $.

stuff I make

and stuff I try to make. This is where I am going to keep track of it all.
